Sunstone Institute is seeking a journalist who will work closely with our team of data scientists to produce original investigations and journalism on the world’s biggest challenges. The place of work is Oslo, Norway.
Who we're looking for
Investigative Reporters: You have experience with investigative journalism. You follow the story wherever it leads, build trust with sources, and aren't afraid to take on complex, long-form investigations. You know how to turn months of research into compelling, accurate reporting.
Data Journalists: You find stories in numbers. You're comfortable with datasets, visualisations, and statistical analysis, and you know how to translate findings into clear, accessible narratives for a broad audience.
Full professional proficiency in English is required.
What you’ll do
- Develop and pitch original story ideas and investigations
- Work together with our team of data scientists in the production of the story
- Report thoroughly and accurately, aligned with our editorial standards and Code of Ethics
- Produce compelling, well-structured stories for publication
- Work collaboratively with editors and colleagues to strengthen your own reporting and that of the team
