Xochitl Vavik

Xochitl works to amplify Sunstone’s visibility across digital platforms through visual storytelling.

Her career began at 19 in the fashion industry, working with international brands in London and Paris before moving into the start-up scene. As Chief Marketing Officer at Fjong, she led a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign and played a key role in positioning the company in circular fashion. In 2020, Xochitl founded Xpandir, a media and production studio creating purpose-driven storytelling for brands and institutions, where she led strategy and creative direction for multi-channel campaigns.

Born in Houston to a Mexican mother and a Norwegian father, Xochitl brings a multicultural lens to her work, what she calls “3D glasses”, allowing her to spot nuances and untold stories. Her name means flower in Nahuatl, which feels fitting: She’s often the one brightening the office with fresh fruit and flowers. She has not yet brought cakes; she views baking as a suspiciously difficult math problem.
